Bal has served in executive leadership positions at many small and large US corporations. Most recently, Bal was COO & President at  Zell Engineers, a leading engineering consulting company. Prior to Zell, Bal served as COO of Phoenix Solutions, a leading IT company. Bal also served as Chief of Staff to the CEO at Schneider, Inc.

Bal received his Ph.D. from Lehigh University, a Master of Technology from IIT Kanpur, and a Bachelor of Engineering from Madhav Engineering College in Gwalior, India.

Bal lives in Sunnyvale, California with his wife, four children, and ten grandchildren.
